Virtual Tour of the Inside
Picking up where I left off yesterday I’ll now move to the inside of the house. The front door opens directly into the living area:
The floor to ceiling windows and door bring in a lot of light but offer little privacy. The wood floors are nice and with a little TLC they will be beautiful. As you can see the living area leads directly back into the kitchen and dining area:
The flooring needs to be updated as well as the appliances. I won’t give too much away on our plans for this area but rest assured changes are coming! Back into the living room and turning left there is a hallway that leads directly to the hall pantry and bathroom.
On each side of the bathroom are the bedrooms (one in the front of the house next to the living room and one in the back next to the dining room). They appeared to be identical in size but I haven’t measured yet.
That’s all for the upstairs. Oh but wait there’s more! Let’s venture into the downstairs:
What we originally thought was a studio apartment had a secret door that led to an extra bedroom:
But after more inspection this is actually what used to be the laundry room, complete with the house water heater which makes it COMPLETELY illegal as a bedroom. We’ll be turning this back into the laundry room with the machines inside. It’s hard to see the rest of the downstairs because of all the clutter so once we clean it out, I’ll post a few more photos.

I APPLAUD YOUR USE OF SHOUTY CAPS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS TO CONVEY YOUR LEVEL OF DISGUST!!! Also, nice ironing board closet… that’s a whole ‘nother level of class right there.
THANK YOU.
When I lived in Glendale with Kevin we had one of those glorious ironing board closets. It was actually quite handy! We stripped the gross cover padding off of it and bought a cool cover at IKEA. Then you don’t have to store an ironing board in a closet and/or worry about setting it up every time! I like ‘em!
Other than that…holy clutter/mess! I’m glad you have a vision and am excited to follow your blog
The ironing board was awesome but we decided that space would be better spent on counters instead. Good thing I don’t like to iron!
